Duplicate accessories in Home app, only on iPhone, not responding

I have several different homes in my Home app. In one of the homes, I am a Resident & Admin, but not the Owner. When viewing that home using the Home app on my iPhone, I see duplicates of some of the accessories. All of the duplicates show "not responding" and cannot be deleted. These duplicates do not appear in the Home app on my iPad or Mac, just on the iPhone.

Using the Controller app, I see the same behavior. The "shadow" accessories appear on the iPhone, but not on the iPad. If I use the Controller app to delete one of them, I get one of two error messages: "Cannot remove non-bridge accessory," or, "Object not found."

I have shut down & restarted the iPhone.

17.3.1 now. It isn't a network issue, there are home hubs in use so the Home accessories etc. are accessible anywhere. There are multiple devices, upwards of a dozen, using this particular Home, and my iPhone is the only device showing the "ghost" accessories. I have two other Homes configured, both of them are fine. I guess my only option at this point is to remove my access to the funky Home, hopefully that will force the iPhone to delete its data, so maybe when I reconnect it will straighten out.

Ouch!

I just re-read your original post and caught something... The person who is considered the "owner"... Have them remove you from this troublesome home. I think that everything will disappear, the real things and their ghosts. Then, since I don't have this issue and can't really duplicate it (nor would I want to), reboot all of the Apple devices that were showing the ghosts. Once rebooted and you have verified that the whole home is gone, have the “owner” send you another invite to the home. 🤞

To follow up...it looks like the issue is with the home hubs, both of which are Apple TVs. I powered off the ATV that was the connected hub, and once the other ATV took over, the "ghost" devices were able to be removed (I only had to delete one, then the rest disappeared along with it). Once the original ATV had been back online for a few days, some of the ghosts have reappeared, so my next step will be to shut down both ATVs, delete the ghosts again, and see what happens then.
