Hello,
I got an old IMac.
When I boot it asks me to install a new OS (El Capitan 10.11).
For this I have to login into app store during initial phase of installation to download it.
After login with 2 factor authentication I get an dialog:
An unexpected error occured while signing in
The server gave an error during download: 403 Forbidden.
How do I proceed to get in installed?

thanks for your reply.
I downloaded el capitan and prepared the bootable usb stick with it.
I can select it as boot device and it start somethng to do.
Than, when progress indicator is at 100% it hangs.
I am not sure if el capitan is the ex factory OS.
I will try sierra now.

It may take a very long time installing from a USB stick.
What is long?
Longer than 8 hours?
It ran over night without visible progress.
USB Stick is not booting with Sierra
No I am trying Yosemite.
Same 403 error with Yosemite
Hmmm, overnight might be too long‽
I'm out of ideas at the moment, but will ponder whilst we wait for other helpers/
