My apple tv bluetooth signal can not reach my yale assure 2 plus lock

I just installed a Yale assure 2 plus lock with wifi module. It is working fine using the yale app, in my house and remotely. However, on my homekit it says ‘No response’. I talked to yale support and after a hard reset of the lock. They told me the problem is that the bluetooth signal from the apple tv which serves as a hub for homekit is not reaching the yale lock. I am not able to move the apple tv closer to the lock. They told me to consider adding a homepod mini and place close to the lock. My question is will the homepod serve as the hub for homekit? At the moment I have 2 apple tv’s 4k wifi and Ethernet 2023. I am not able to select which one serves as the hub, it is done automatically. Therefore, I am not sure adding a homepod will serve as the hub. Anybody knows if there is a way to select which device serves as the hub for homekit?
