The right click function on the trackpad does not work. The standard advice is to go to System Settings>Mouse and change there - but when I go to System Settings there is no such function as 'Mouse'. So I'm stuck and would welcome advice how to fix. Thanks.

did you try making changes in
system preferences > Trackpad ?
Also, watch out for "natural" scroll direction.
It's only natural if your context is an iPhone.
