scroll page up or down with keyboard

how do i scroll up and down with my keyboard while im trying to drag an item

Difficulties with selecting and copying text : too much scrolling! It happens in Facebook Messenger too. Never on iPhone only in Macbook Air. How to solve this issue? I wouldn't use a mouse otherwise.

What is supposed to happen, is that as you approach (but do not go strongly beyond) the edge of the window, it is supposed to scroll based on the edge you approach.

The general answer to keyboard scrolling is to use the arrow keys to scroll gently, or hold down the fn key while you use the arrow keys to scroll strongly.
