Downloading a file from Safari/Chrome to my File Folders, Apple places numbers in front of the file name

For instance, when I click Control and the Mouse, Saved Linked File As, Apple places a series of numbers in front of that file name.

How do I turn that off?

iMac 27″, macOS 14.4

Can Numbers menu option for Recent Files be changed? So this is not the most pressing problem in the world today, but it has been bothering me for a long time. Please see the screenshot below - note when Numbers is started, (by default) a user can see as many as the last ten files opened in the Open Recent section of the menu. (The blue block is to obscure file names only and does not actually appear on the screen...) Question: I would like to increase the number of files shown in the Open Recent section of the Numbers menu to 15 or 20 - how can I do that (or can this be done)? Thanks for any ideas on this!

i am unable to download the exact file from safari I am unable to download any files from safari.

Command “F” in Files When I press “command F” in the files application it does not allow me to search my pdf document for key words. But when I search That same document on safari before I download it, I am able to search for key words. Is my files app malfunctioning?
