User credentials not working

I changed my user name on my mac book pro high sierra. If the computer ask for an authentication, and i type the user credentials its not unlocking. I tried to restart the computer and press command and S. After that i tried to execute fsck -fy and it worked. The problem comes when i tried to execute mount -uw / . It said there is no root directory for that. Help me please.
