icloudphotos.exe is crashing in Windows 11 when free up space
Hi,
I try to download a lot of photos and video from my iCloud Photos library in Windows 11. The photos and videos are downloaded correctly. I then want to use the 'Free up space' (right click on files and click Free up space in context menu) feature in Windows 11 to remove the local copies of the files to free up the 20GB of storage used by the downloaded files. This mostly results in icloudphotos.exe crashing.
Result:
- Photos are no longer sinced
- Freeing up space is halted

Workaround is to restart icloudservice.exe and then wait for some time. Then everything works correct again.
