keyboard layout wrong keys

Above you can see what comes up when I write on my newly acquired apple

keyboard, aluminium one full size. It is from the letters of the bottom line, from Z to M and the

comma. So, the question is, fault with the keyboard or can it be

cancelled.

Mac keyboards generate generic key-numbers, regardless of the glyphs on the key caps. The translation to "real" letters is done in Mac software as specified in:


settings/System preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources


if you have the expected input source, such as US for a US keyboard, then seeing comma replacing x suggests your PHYSICAL keyboard is broken.
