the Mac Pro drive banks accept SATA drives, typically 3.5-in desktop drives.

One interesting "enclosure" that is a little more stable than just an adapter cable, but not quite as much trouble to install a drive just to read as a regular drive enclosure is a type sometimes called a "Toaster"-style. The bare drive just drops into a slot and gravity holds it in place.

In the US, check OWC/Macsales.

If you're able to network the computers or use Target Disk mode, move the files through it; no additional unit is required.

If the old computer is dead, find a nearby or online computer store which sells enclosures that support the cable those drives use inside the case.
