iCloud for Windows telling me there is not enough free space on my iCloud Drive

I was trying to upload about 70 GB of files to my iCloud Drive, which has about 150 GB free thanks to iCloud+, using iCloud for Windows in the File Explorer. However, when I tried to copy the files to my iCloud Drive, I got an error saying that I need to free up an additional 29.6 GB of space.
