Unable to log into iCloud desktop after windows update

After I performed update (KB5039212) for Windows, it is no longer possible to log in to iCloud desktop. I have now created a new password. This allows me to log in to the web version of iCloud.


He gives the following message. What to do?

I had the same problem. I have 2 factor authentication set, and eventually it got to where the popup to allow the number to come through would disappear before I could tap it.


I had the 2 factor code sent to a different phone, there was no problem getting and entering it, and now iCloud is working on the Windows PC that was updated.


I don't know if is a solution or something else changed, but it worked for me.
