I have 4 email addresses linked to apple but I am continuously being asked to sign in - i do - then get sent a pass key code and then it happens all over again. I have even tried to delete the email address but feel im out of my comfort zone with this one

Please describe in what way you have 4 email addresses attached to this ID. And ID is only a single email address so I am at a bit of a loss in understanding how the others come into play. It is possible to use other accounts and/or addresses for specific services such as Messages and Facetime, but having more information from you would save a lot of guesswork.
Make sure that you only use 1 Apple ID on all of your devices

I think this is may be my issue - but unfortunately am unsure. May BE iLL USE A DIFFERENT PASSWORD !
