I would like to remove copilots access to my card. I deleted it from copilot. However, I tried to re-add it and assumed it would ask for username and password but it did not which means the connection still exists.

Not necessarily. Adding a card does not require you to enter your username and password. If you signed up for a subscription, you will need to cancel the subscription, because simply removing a card does not cancel a subscription.
I’m not trying to remove my subscription to copilot. I am trying to disconnect only my Apple Card. When I initially set it up, each of my banks required me to log in to my account and authorize co-pilot to have a third party connection to my data. I am looking for that same authorization for the Apple credit card.
You need to change the order of the payment cards in your Apple ID Account.
