Can I use my details on my wife’s account for Apple finance?

Hello legends,


I have a very random question and Google has not found me any answers (for once)


I work full time and have a good credit history. My wife does not work and is a stay at home Mum.


I have applied for and been accepted on Apple finance, my wife would 99% be declined due to no salary but combined we do (government marriage stuff, as we know)


So I wondered, if my wife wanted to do Apple finance and I agreed and input all my details, signed my stuff would that work?


Basically can I Apple finance, on my wife’s account for her or no, I would need to order it on my account for her?

We users can not speak on behalf of Apple. Whether or not your specific situation and request will be acknowledged/approved by Apple can only be answered by Apple. It does not matter what other user experience is regarding policy and individual decisions. If you want a decisive answer, ask Apple.

You are welcome to wait for another user to provide their experience but why not just get the answer from Apple?

Questions about what Apple will do in a specific situation are not something we can answer here.


I would suggest that if you use your wife's name and your information, it might be construed by some as fraud. On the other hand, ordering the phone for her seems very simple.


Your wife may also want to work on building her own credit history. One never knows what the future holds.
