I’ve noticed lately that there seems to be something happening where once 10 years has passed since a photo was taken, it vanishes from my photo roll.
Did Apple introduce a time limit on the photo roll? Is this something I can stop from happening?
My mom is also having this same issue and it’s very concerning.

If you're missing photos or videos in the Photos app - Apple Support (IE)

Then you may want to check, if you are running out of iCloud Storage.
Are all your family members using the same Apple ID or are each of you having a separate APpleID?
If this happened in the last 30 days, and if you don't use iCloud Photos, and you have Settings>Apple ID>iCloud Backup turned on, then you should look here:
View and manage iCloud device backups - Apple Support
If you don't keep your own backups, there really isn't any place else to look.
