unrestricting my apple cash account

A year ago, i tried setting up my Apple Cash in my wallet so my father could send me 10 dollars. after he sent it i pressed on it to set it up and when i put in my social security number it said it was invalid or something and i convinced myself i was typing it in wrong like 7 times and because of so many failed attempts it restricted my account. i’ve looked up solutions and my only solution i see is to call apple but i really don’t want to call them because that’s scary. i don’t see the other option saying “verify my account” that others are talking about it’s just not there. if anyone else has alternative solutions that’d be great! Also, my father never got his 10 dollars back for some reason when i was never able to accept the 10 dollars.

There is no exception. The bank must speak to the person opening the account. Text or email will not work. Please review the support article I linked to below.
