I cannot add my bank cards and afterpay to my apple wallet

I have been trying to add the Afterpay card and bank cards to my Apple Wallet without success. The same error message keeps appearing, and I have already spoken to Apple Support. They said that it is a bank’s issue. While the bank said that it is apple. I cannot anymore.

Anyone still have this issue?? Anyone can help me??

Sure, what country are you in?

Confirm your region is set correctly.

Do you use a VPN, or ever had VPN software on your iPhone?

Have you tried using both WiFi and cellular?

Are you logged into your Apple ID, Apple App Store and iTunes Store?

Is your iPhone updated to latest iOS version, 17.6.1?

What country are you in now? What country is your bank in?

Remove the VPN profile, delete the VPN software and reset your network settings. Please follow this path,

iPhone > Settings > General > Transfer or Reset (Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Device) > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Please do a forced restart of your iPhone.

It’s an issue with either the bank or the Payment Network Operator (Visa, MasterCard, American Express etc.). I can run through various settings on your iPhone with you, but Apple Support probably already did that. I’m happy to do it again if you like.

Your card is being Red Pathed or Red Flowed by your bank or PNO or both. Ask your bank why they are Red Pathing your card?

Apple does not approve or decline adding cards. All Apple does is transmit data to the PNO and your bank. It’s their responsibility to verify your identity and authorize your card to be added to the iPhone. Apple cannot add a card to the Wallet.

Hello,

I got a new iPhone and am facing the same problem. Afterpay wrote to me that the card network blocked my account. By the way I cannot cancel VPN, I do not have the app. It is on settings<general. I cannot delete it. Any help? The bank suggested to wait a few days. It is so frustrating. Afterpay doesn't issue physical cards, nor has it found another solution for me to use.

If you were using a VPN, you’d have a profile installed in your Settings app. What you’re seeing is where the profile would show. If no profile is visible, it sounds as if you don’t use a VPN.

I’m not sure what they mean by card network. Is the bank not supporting Apple Pay or does the Payment Network Operator (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc.) have your card blocked? Do you know who the PNO is?
