Additional Identification Card To Apple Wallet

I have an additional government issued I. D.

is there a way to add it to the apple wallet?

Apple Wallet recognizes ID’s and driver licenses issued in the United States by several states. Some employers and other entities have ID’s setup to use Apple Wallet. There’s no point in adding a random ID if the issuing agency doesn’t support or recognize the use of the ID.

What exactly is the point of adding this ID and is it supported once it’s added in Apple Wallet app.

I appreciate your prompt reply and insight.

while I cannot describe it here, I use it in various official and non official contacts.

I understand my specific governmental organization has not set it up to be used, so I cannot add it to Apple wallet.

I will continue to use both my Driver’s license and other identification via the Folio app. Was just trying to eliminate the duplication since I prefer Apple wallet. Again, thanks for your response and explanation.
