iPhone 16 Pro Max Screen Unresponsive

Is anyone else noticing their iPhone 16 pro max being unresponsive sometimes when touching the screen, typing, swiping.

Im not even using a screen protector and it’s like it. Makes things seem really laggy sometimes.

Did not expect it on a brand new iPhone.

iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 18

I have noticed typing on the keyboard sometimes just doesn’t register letters or the space bar. I took it to Apple, ran diagnostic tests and there wasn’t anything wrong. It is extremely laggy and doesn’t pick up key entries. Pls fix!

I upgraded to 16pro max from 15pro max and noticed immediately how slow the screen was at responding to touch. Feels like you need to be more deliberate in your inputs for it to register.

I have a screen protector but as this is from a quality brand I can’t see that being the issue.

Hopefully a software issue rather than hardware.

I experienced the same issue restoring through iTunes step from this guide, resolved it for me. Before the screen was so unresponsive that I couldn’t even type on the keyboard Try this before sending it back to Apple it might save you some hassle!

Same issue here from day 1 with my 16 Pro Max. It’s hard for me to even type messages anymore. Some letters are missed and sometimes it just keeps getting the wrong keys. I had a 15 Pro Max before with no issues, but now I’m using the 16 Pro Max and struggle to type messages. Apple, are you listening?! Do you hear us?

What a bomber ! It made me very stressed missing taps without response. Sometimes had to tap 2-3 times to get something done on the VK. No response on the up corners where back and forward arrows should do what they have to do as well. Tapping around them , soft, firm....it s(t)ucks then for a while.

Slow response all over, if this is not going to be fixed quick I'll return my 16 pro max right away. Don't get it...didn't the developers noticed this by themselves earlier ????

16 pro max in Desert Titanium 256GB here. I’m having the same issue. When I type I miss keys, when I like a video it takes a few taps to register, and swiping is inconsistent. Seems to be all on the right side too. Coming from a super responsive but dying 13 pro max, this is getting aggravating! I’ve called Apple support, they’ve run diagnostics and the hardware passed. Going to an Apple Store tomorrow. I’m hoping this is a software issue and we get an update before my return period is up.

Hi, I updated my 16 pro max on ios 18.0.1 and the sensor lags still remain, for example, when flipping through stories on Instagram, it happens that you need to click on the screen twice or even three times to make it work, or when typing, the backspace button works with a second or third touch;(((

Yes. Unable to pause, stop or mute video playback sometimes and have had to force close the photos app to stop video playback. Also, when Auto Play Motion is turned off the Mute button disappears during playback and there is no audio. The side buttons show volume increasing and decreasing but there is no audio.
