iPhone 16 Pro Max Front Camera Blurriness

Me too!! Also upgraded to 16 Pro from an 11 and my front camera will not focus on Snapchat. It’s driving me insane.

Me too! Why is no one talking about this on social media? And why is there still no solution? We all spend so much money on these phones every year, and they just keep getting worse. This isn’t a small issue—some people's jobs depend on the front camera, and it makes it impossible to use when the pictures turn out horrendous. Also, has anyone else noticed that the camera is completely off? When I look at the screen, it feels like my eyes are focused on the bottom left, and my face looks uneven. I know because I compared it to my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and the difference is huge.

If anyone has a solution, it would be a lifesaver. We shouldn't have to keep dealing with this—returning phones, getting replacements, and going through all the hassle. We’re paying so much for these phones, and yet we still have to worry about something this basic. I love everything else about this phone, but the camera is something I’ve never experienced before. I hope this can be solved with some setting/camera adjustments??

16 pro has the exact same issue. If we can’t find a workaround my friends and I have to return our phones they aren’t usable for high quality content anymore. Currently using my 11 pro as a working backup again….

I have been facing similar issue with the front camera. I recently switched to iPhone 16plus and I have been questioning my decision of switching only because the front camera is blurry and doesn’t focus. On Snapchat it’s drastic, it’s horrible. It’s grainy and blurry. I am kinda disappointed with this poor camera quality. It’s horrible.

I think the front camera was significantly better. I also have a ZAGG screen protector and I’ve wondered if that’s what is interfering with the quality of my front camera but the consensus seems to be that they just put out a $1000+ year with a lesser quality front camera. I’ve tried using front flash to see if it would improve, and i would say that it’s worse.

I regret buying the phone and unfortunately I can only upgrade my phone every 2 years, so now I’m stuck with this phone. I’ve honestly never been so disappointed. I’d like to believe an IOS update will fix what’s changed but I won’t hold my breath.

Check out social media Apps for example WhatsApp, Instagram, especially Snapchat.

it looks like that everything that does not use the native camera SDK view is affected.

however, by now, I also found out that Snapchat is not even optimized for the iPhone 15 Pro.

so I guess it’s an ongoing software problem with the pro model.

it looks like a lot of developers have not adapted yet

Can you post an image from the front facing camera? I’ve an iPhone 16 Pro Max and it’s fine. It could be an isolated issue.
