It's a scam. Apple will never send you an unsolicited message like that. Do not respond to that message in any way. Just delete it.

We’re not the “you” you’re assuming. This is a user-to-user forum. Apple may or may not read posts around here.


That doesn’t seem to be a telephone number published by Apple.


The usual practice with these is to look up the telephone number from a trusted source (beware Google search results!) and call that official number, rather than trusting telephone numbers or links in messages.


The few references to that 877 number seem sketchy, and some reference scams.
