Cancel or not cancel iTunes Match?

I think I understand what might happen if I were to cancel my iTunes Match subscription. First of all I DO NOT have an Apple Music subscription. I also have many songs that I ripped from CDs during the early days of iTunes music.

My understanding is that if I were to cancel my iTunes Match subscription, these early ripped songs would be removed from “the cloud.” However the original media would still reside on my desktop library (because that was where it was originally ripped.) I also have a complete backup.

What I would like to be sure of is this: if I have downloaded all of the songs currently in the “cloud” library to both my iPad and iPhone, if I cancel my iTunes Match subscription, the songs would still remain on my iPad and iPhone?
