Verifying my visa in wallet. Message keeps saying verification not available try again in a couple of minutes I've done and tried this over a couple of days now with no success and I've also checked that my bank is ApplePay supportive.

Pause generally doesn’t work. The software, VPN profile in your settings needs to be removed and your Network Settings need to be reset. I can’t guarantee this is the solution. But VPN’s, profiles and Network Settings are known issues preventing cards from being added.
If you’ve tried to added the card 5 or more times in the last 24 hours, that’s an automatic decline. That’s a typical pattern of fraudsters and your bank typically has a limit if 5 to 10 attempts in a 24 hour period. Give it 24 to 72 hours to reset and try verifying again with not VPN.

I'm in New Zealand and I do use NordVPN.
I did think it could be that and paused it while I tried quite a few times with no success.
