Weak hinge on MacBook 12 inch 2015 model

Hello, I have a MacBook 12 inch 2015 model. The hinge was a little loose with use, and after I fixed it, it became good, but I feel that the hinge is a little weak. I think it is a little thin, and that is why it is like this.

There are two things which can go wrong with the hinges on this model laptop.

  1. The mounting screws for the hinge can become loose. You can easily see the one set of screws just by removing the Bottom Case. However, there are other smaller screws holding the hinge to the Display Assembly which are hidden beneath the Clutch Cover. The Display Assembly must be removed, then the Clutch Cover....the Clutch Cover tends to be difficult to remove & is easily cracked. Plus there are fragile cable beneath the Clutch Cover and running across those hidden screws.
  2. The hinge has actually been broken from trying to open the Display Assembly too far. I see this a lot with those 2017 and earlier MBAirs. There is no fix for this second issue since the Display Cable & Antenna cables run through the center of each hinge meaning the entire Display Assembly needs to be replaced. The symptom for this second issue is the display not holding its position where moving the laptop may cause the display to flop back or flop forward to close.
