Simple drum setup

I want to use MainStage software in the following way. Connect my drum (Roland TD9) via MIDI > USB to my macbook, trigger pads in MainStage and then via a multichannel audio output route base, hihat, etc seperate. I cannot find a clear instruction to do that. I am new with this material. Can someone help me set this up?
