My MacBook is displaying the wrong date

Having not used my MacBook recently, I switched it on today to discover it is displaying the wrong date. I tried switching the toggles on and off in the time and date settings as well as restarting the laptop, however no luck, the date and time continued to be wrong. I have temporarily manually set the date and time, however this is not ideal for when the clocks change.

Can anyone recommend any other way to fix this issue, allowing me to use the automatic time and date function?
