Unable to install macOS on to Domain Joined MacBook with Authentication disabled.

I have a user who is trying to update their macOS and when they type in there password we get Authentication disabled. In our environment users a required to change their password yearly. When they do that the laptop then doesn't recognize the new password which in turn disables authentication. Is there away around this?

Thank you!!
