How do I stop automated calls from "Apple"?

Anyone else getting random robocalls from Apple with a verification code. I am getting numerous calls all times of day and night, and don't know how to actually connect with customer service at Apple or my phone provider to STOP this!

And I'm too "old" to even understand what this page is asking me to do! I'm just desperate for a solution!!

...with a verification code,

That implies you set up two-factor authenticaion on your device. That is a security measure that sends a code to a trusted device when you use your Apple ID. It adds a layer of security in addition to your password:

Your Apple Account (formerly "Apple ID") preferences are directing the authorization codes to your phone as robocalls. You should be able to change you preferences for the cdes for this here:

You can chose text messages or email to get the codes as well, so less obtrusive.

You're fine. Many of the senior contributors here are well past Medicare age. My Medicare card recently celebrated its 12th birthday!

My understanding is that Apple will only automatically send two-factor codes to trusted devices and that only way to get numerous "robocalls" as the original poster is would be for him to request a phone call each time as described in Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support

I don't know of any way for a person to set a preference to send authorization codes to a phone as robocalls, or a preference to choose text messages instead of trusted device notifications. As far as I know, that can only be done by requesting it each time, rather than by setting a preference.

My suspicion is that either someone else has his number setup (although that doesn't seem likely as the number is verified when first set up) and that person is repeatedly requesting a phone call or that it is some type of scam (but don't know the content of the call he is receiving so can't know)
