iCloud File Size Inconsistency
Can anyone help me understand the discrepancy below
I am trying to shrink my iCloud usage, but the reported usage in one source does not agree with the other.

FWIW, I also did not get notified of your response, a first in hundreds of posts. Thanks for the ideas though.
Just rough math on mine and drive + messages + email + backups is roughly what my iCloud Drive shows for space used on my Mac. Which is about 30 GB higher than just iCloud Drive in iCloud. The remainder is overhead and likely app data. I'm sure that the "drive" is just counting different things on the Mac versus iCloud.
Surely someone has some idea what explains this. If I were the cynical type, I'd think someone was trying to sell me storage before I really needed it . . . .
