Mute for one hour feature not working on Apple Watch and iPhone
Ever since an Apple Watch OS update that happened somewhere in early to mid September this year, the mute for one hour feature has been very glitchy for me. I have a group chat with some of my friends in it that is relatively active. Sometimes when I’m doing something, or when they’re talking about something I’m not interested in, I’d hit mute for one hour on my watch or phone and move on. But ever since the update, whenever I hit mute for one hour on my phone, it doesn’t apply to my watch, which isn’t helpful because my watch is what goes off 90% of the time since I’m almost always wearing it. And when I hit it on my watch it’s even weirder. For starters, it doesn’t apply to my phone either. I have mirror my phone on in settings, so there’s no reason I can think of that it wouldn’t work. But the main thing that’s been driving me crazy is that it just flat out doesn’t work half the time. Sometimes I’ll select the option, and it literally just won’t work. Like I’ll still get notifications as if I hadn’t just clicked mute for one hour. Then I’ll have to hit the option repeatedly for every new message until it finally works. It can take anywhere from 2-5 times before it works as it’s supposed to. Sometimes it’ll also say “unmute” as if it was muted, but I’m still getting notifications, in which case I have to hit unmute then try to re-mute it and go through the whole previously described process. Is there some setting I have to mess with to fix it or is this a glitch?
