Jabra Enhance Pro hearing aids - outbound voice quality

Whenever I use my iPhone for calls, with audio streaming to my Jabra Enhance Pro hearing aids, the people I'm calling struggle to hear me because my voice sounds "muffled." Older solutions in this forum mention turning the hearing-aid mic off via the accessibility settings, but in the latest version of iOS that doesn't seem to work. I can't find anything helpful on the Jabra site or elsewhere, so just posting this in case anyone has advice. Thanks.

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18

Am no expert in this area, however your post to the community deserves some response.

Your hearing professional may have the best answers.

or

Perhaps the trouble-shooting suggestions below may be helpful in solving the issue:

✽ You may need to adjust the audio during a call / direct the call to hearing-aid / ensure "mute" is not on. See: While on a call on iPhone - Apple Support

✽ You can choose whether or not to route calls automatically to your hearing aids:

See how you can: Route and automatically answer calls on iPhone - Apple Support

Also says:

"During a call, you can switch the audio routing from your hearing aid to the iPhone speaker

by removing the hearing aid from your ear."

✽ You might want to try using either cellular or wi-fi to see if there is any difference in being heard.

Eg: How to: Make calls using Wi-Fi on iPhone - Apple Support

✽ You may want to check your iPhone has the newest available iOS version:

Look in Settings > General > Software Updates.

( If an update is available, it is wise to back up your iPhone before downloading an update)

✽ Check there is no speck of wax or dirt blocking an opening on hearing aids or on iPhone

What to do: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working - Apple Support

✽ There may or may not be an app (or a firmware update) from Jabra that you can download ?

(or if you already use an app ... could there be an app update available to install ?)

✽ You could seek info. / advice through Jabra Support website (or from your hearing professional)

All the best :-)
