Can I use Garmin HRM with my running Apple Watch?

Hi all,

I have an Apple Watch Series 3, and recently changed iphones.

I unpaired my watch from my old iphone, and it is logged in to my apple account, and recieves all wifi messages. It however, does not come up as an option to pair with my iphone.

I use my apple watch mainly for exercise, and all my fitness data (which is important for my health complications) is recorded on my watch but not synched to my phone. I do not want to lose all this data, and would like to pair my watch to my new phone but not sure how this works when it doesn't show up on my iphone.

Any advice greatly appreciate - I have checked and my iPhone 11 and my watch are both stating they are up to date on software.
