iCloud for windows not downloading JPEG
On my old PC, iCloud for Windows would automatically download all my photos and videos to my PC, and photos would be in jpg (which I prefer because it is more universal).
However, on my new PC, iCloud for Windows does not automatically download my photos and videos to my PC. It shows them available in the cloud until I tap on them to download them. When I download them, the majority are in HEIC file format instead of jpg. I don't see any explanation for why some photos are jpg and some are HEIC.
I already have my iPhone camera format set to "Most Compatible" instead of "High Efficiency." The iCloud for Windows has an option to disable "Download High-Efficiency format photos and videos" but for some reason, the option is greyed out so I can't disable it.
I don't understand what is going on, and why iCloud for Windows won't automatically download jpg photos on my new PC the same way it does on my old PC.
I double checked, and my old PC has all my photos downloaded as jpg, but the new PC, many of these same exact photos are downloaded as HEIC instead of jpg.
