Following the earlier thread. I found rubbing in dishwasher liquid and submerging in warm water did the trick. If, like me, you remove your watch for grimy jobs. You might be surprised how dirty your bracelet is between the links when you remove one. Perhaps have cotton buds and isopropyl alcohol to hand.
