New Apple Watch Ultra - sudden battery drain

I recently got a new Apple Watch Ultra and was enjoying the fact that I did not have to charge for 4-5 days. With the recent iOS 18 update and whatever Apple Watch Update, now my Ultra drains daily.

I read to unpair and then pair the watch again. I tried it and it's still the same.

Any other suggestions? I'm not sure WHAT is going on here.

Without knowing how you use your Apple Watch and what if anything might have changed recently it's difficult to suggest much, but perhaps some of Apple's tips here will help:

One suggestion is if you haven't updated to watchOS 11.1 yet, you should do so. There were some bug fixes in that release that reportedly directly affected battery life.

If the battery drains too fast after an update, see all the replies to:

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.
