How to remove my contacts from my child's iPhone

Hi all,

I recently erased one of my old iPhones and gave it to my child. After signing in to the "new" phone with her iCloud account, I noticed all my contacts were on it. I searched the internet to find a solution, and wanted to share what worked for me. All of the suggested answers were to turn off contacts in my iCloud setting, which did not work, or to make a new iCloud account for my child, which I did not want to do. If you are stuck like me, I noticed that my kid also had my voicemails on her phone, too. This is what I did (copied and pasted from another thread with a solution that worked to stop my voicemails from showing up on her phone):

***** HERE IS THE FIX: Go to SETTINGS, choose APPLE ID, then choose ICLOUD, then choose SHOW ALL, then DESELECT the PHONE toggle… (we turn everything off as we don’t use iCloud for anything) … made three test voicemail calls just to check and it worked *****

When I turned off the "Phone and FaceTime" from my iCloud, everything on her phone went back to normal- including her contacts.

Definitely not intuitive so wanted to share just in case.
