My mac mini m4 doesn't display 160 hz on 4K MSI MPG 274URF QD monitor why? I have certified cables

Why doesn't my mac mini m4 display 160hz on my 4K MSI MPG 274URF QD monitor, I have certified display 1.4 cables that support 4k 240hz, I have hdmi 8k 60hz 4k 240hz, thunderbolt 4. and on all mac mini m4 it only gives 144hz. Other devices connected to this monitor display 160hz, what's wrong with my mac.

Hmmm… your MacMini M4 will, depending on the chip inside it, do 2-3 displays @60 Hz at 6k, 1 4k display @240 Hz over Thunderbolt or HDMI (M4 Chip) M4 Pro Chip will do 3 didplsys up to 6k@ 60 Hz, 4k @240 Hz over Thunderbolt/HDMI 2.0 plus it supports Thunderbolt 5 (display-port 2.1) .those are your choices: 60 Hz or 1 display@ 240 Hz. Try something like SwitchResX available at madrau.com or something else like it… your monitor requires that the source supports DIsplayPortAlt mode( usb-c) …hdmi 2.1 , displayPort 1.4a.. there’s been a new firmware released for your monitor( 2024-11-05) so give that a go… you’d have to look up how to upgrade/apply the “new” firmware to your monitor…

So I updated the monitor with Windows power to the latest version 009 from November 5. Unfortunately, it didn't help. Desktop computer, laptop on Windows show via USB C, display port, HDMI 160 Hz. Mac shows only 144 Hz on each output. Unfortunately, I don't have friends nearby with other monitors at 160 Hz, they all only have up to 144. Apple support will call me back only on Thursday 21st and I want to know the reason faster. It's a bit strange because I have 2 display port cables with a certificate, 3 HDMI 2.1 8k 60 Hz 4k 240 Hz cables with certificates, and several USB C Thunderbolts and each of the Windows computers shows 160 Hz in 4k on this monitor, and the Mac only 144 Hz on each. I tried the trial version of the Switches program and it's useless. there are no settings for 160 hz and manual entry allows you to set 160 hz only visually in the program and the monitor still shows 144 hz this program is just a scam. mac software should have these settings in it.
