Unable to manage my watch with phone...

I have an Apple Watch Series 10 setup as a standalone device with its own number. I do have it paired to my iPhone 16 Pro but I am unable to manage the watch. All that happens when I tap on the watch on my phone is a checkmark shows up to the left of the phone. If I press the "info" button on the right it shows all the watch technical details but nothing about configuring the watch settings.


Anybody know how to get this phone to change the settings on the watch?
