Upgrading has lost me a lot of useful functions

I have just bought a M2 Macbook Air to replace the 2014 Macbook Pro that I have used for ten years. I now find that there are some important programmes that I use every day and that have now disappeared. The main ones are:

Dashboard

Adobe Acrobat Professional

iPlayer.

I am about to return the M2 Air as I cannot see any way to replace what I have lost.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Discontinued five years ago. Widgets are now handled by the Notification Center. You can also add Widgets to the Desktop

Adobe Acrobat Professional

Now called Acrobat Pro and still available

iPlayer.

Available in any browser.
