Error copying tree structure from NTFS to APFS

For copying large amounts of data, I would suggest looking at the paid third party app Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC). CCC allows you to select & deselect items as well as keeping a log of items that failed to copy so you can go back & try them manually. CCC can do a lot more than this as well. The developer & app are well respected in the Apple community.
