Sonoma update interrupted becuase not enough space, and won't continue afer some files removed. HD snapshot shows up in Didk Utility

Sonoma was interrupted by not enough space error, and subsequently was disconnected from the internet for travel. Removed a lot of data to provide space but as I do, the space required by Sonoma update increases. Purgeable also increases. There is snapshot of the HD recreated during the update I presume. Computer continues to work, but I still have no bluetooth which was the reason for the update.

How do I get out of the update to start it from the beginning again.

Thank you for your response. I have done all those things and plan to use my backup as necessary. The question remains in case I have a similar problem unrelated to disk usage issue in case I run into a similar issue on the twenty or so other computers I am involved with. Specifically, is here any benefit in removing the snapshot to allow update to start fresh?

There are a variety of things you can do to make more disk space available.

But if you ever find yourself needing to take these kinds of actions to free up disk space, installing an OS update is the very last thing you should be attempting. It will not fix anything.
