FaceTime Audio no longer available after upgrading to iOS 18.1
Hi y'all,
My wife just finished transferring all of her stuffs from her old iPhone to the all new pink iPhone 16 Plus.
As usual, the transfer setup automatically updated the iPhone 16 Plus to the newest iOS 18.1 before the transfer even began, so it now has the latest iOS update.
But later we found out that we no longer can contact her through FaceTime Audio, although the FaceTime Video is working fine. I've tested it out using my own iPhone (already updated to iOS 18.1 too), and here below is the screenshot:
We tried using other iDevices like our daughter's iPads (they also have been updated to iOS 18.1), and it's all the same: we can't contact her using FaceTime Audio, but the FaceTime video is working.
I even tried borrowing our friend's iPhone and they also can't use FaceTime Audio to contact her, before it was working just fine.
I've checked the FaceTime settings, everything has not been changed one bit, it is turned on and every settings are as they should be.
I've tried turning the FaceTime off and turned it on back again, the result is still the same: the FaceTime Audio is not available for her.
I've tried every methods I can find in Google search and on websites, nothing works.
Her FaceTime Audio is still not turned on.
And I read there are lots of other users experiencing the same problem: FaceTime Audio is suddenly not available anymore.
What's happening? How do we fix this?
Please Apple Support help us out.
I live in Indonesia, where there's no Apple Store available here, I can't go to Genius Bar to fix this, I need a quick fix through online hopefully Apple Support read this and help us out.
