IMac 2019 runnind on Big Sur wont update to macOS Sequoia correctly

When I try to update my Mac (described in the title) working on Big Sur to macOS sequoia, it successfully downloads the installer app. The installer seems to succeeds in the first state, but then, when it reboots, Everything seems to do as normal(it shows the eta), AND it reboots longer than normal. But when it boots, it even shows the “setup “ask Siri”” window, but then it turns out, nothing updated, really, nothing changes, it still runs Big Sur, not even with the new apps installed.what do I do?

Try booting into Safe Mode to see if that makes any difference. You may need to start the installer while booted into Safe Mode. And when the installer reboots the computer, you may also want to boot into Safe Mode so the installer can finish installing in Safe Mode. This can be a bit tricky sometimes since you have to pay attention to the system rebooting and making sure to press the key immediately after hearing the startup chime.

If you are using any anti-virus software, cleaning/optimizer apps, or third party security software, then they all have been known to cause problems with macOS updates & upgrades.

You can also run the third party app EtreCheck and post the complete report here so we can examine it for possible clues.
