Final Cut Pro 11 asked me do download many Japanese fonts.

Today, when I wanted to change a title font from "Regular" to "Bold", Final Cut Pro started asking me to download many fonts of weird names - mostly with Japanese sounding names. I am working on a project where I use one font only and keep on copying and pasting the titles. I can't find any reason why this behavior started. It originally seemed, like it will have no end, but luckily it came to an end. But I don't understand why FCP suddenly wanted to download tens of Japanese fonts.

Did anybody have a similar experience?

I am using a Japanese version of MacBook Pro with Ventura OS. Xingkai SC is included by default.

I have never been asked to download a font when using FCP. Is the font you used Xingkai? Is it a different font?

I'm running FCP in English. I wouldn't be as surprised by the Japanese fonts if I was running FCP in Japanese. But anyhow - I have never seen anything like this before, so that's why I'm asking this question.

Are you running FCP in Japanese? I don't know if it is related, just trying to get more data.

FWIW, I don't recall FCP ever asking me to download any fonts.
