MacBook Pro (2015 rMBP) Lid Not Closing Fully

I did a lot of troubleshooting for this problem (one side of the case not closing fully), even taking the laptop to the Apple Store in Jacksonville, Florida, where I was told that it was not fixable and was considered a vintage machine that Apple would not work on. Since I need the older operating system (Mac Mojave 10.4.6) for a software program essential for my business (Adobe Reader XI), I wrapped a rubber band around the wonky side when I was not using the machine, and I continued to use it regularly. I put the laptop away for about three months with the rubber band holding the lid closed--and much to my surprise and delight, when I needed that Mac again I found that the lid now closes fully without any issues, and the rubber band is no longer needed (!). Go figure! And never say never....
