How to restore a file from Time Machine to a different folder

This isn't a question. It's an answer.

If you want to restore a file from Time Machine to another folder (for example the existing folder may already have a file by that name) here's how. In the Time Machine viewer, navigate to the file(s) you want to restore, then CTRL-click (or right click) then select "Copy" from the contextual menu. You can then exit Time Machine, and navigate to the location you want to place the restored file. Press CMD-V and it will be copied to this location.
