how do I eliminate the blue square with ? mark on my MACBOOK PRO 2012
Instead of getting pictures I get a blue square with ? mark

Is this when you try to start up your MBP? Does this blue square resemble a Folder icon? If so your computer is telling you it cannot locate the Boot volume. In other words the Operating System is either missing or in your case damaged to the extent that it cannot start up the computer.
