Can't restore missing LUTS FCP 10.8.1 on new iMac

Hi there. I worked on a project on my old iMac, and used a Custom BlackMagic LUT on several clips. I keep the project on an external SSD, and when I first opened it in my new iMac, I had no issue. Now if I open it, I get the red 'Missing Camera LUT' icon on those clips. I've redownloaded the LUTS and put them into the new iMac's appropriate folder for Custom LUTs, then restarted. Still just a logo, and the Info for the clip does not show the application of a Custom LUT. I've also tried applying it afresh, and no luck..

Any help would be really appreciated!

Camera LUTs and Custom LUTs are two different things.

They should go in

~/Library/Application Support/ProApps/Camera LUTs

and

~/Library/Application Support/ProApps/Custom LUTs

respectively.

Which of the two are you using - custom LUTs?

Are they in the correct places? Do they appear in the menu in the Inspector?

Hi there. Thanks for the reply.

I miswrote Camera LUTS... I meant Custom LUTS. On the installation of FCP on the new machine, I don't have any Custom LUTS in the appropriate ProApps folder. I was able to use the extended menu in the Inspector window and remove the BlackMagic LUTS I had used on the old computer, and the original footage is there. I believe I can now import the Custom LUTS to the ProApps folder and re-apply them. Oddly, my project shows all of the LUTS I had in my old computer, but they are greyed out and unavailable, which makes sense. I will try and find those and re-import as well.

Appreciate your speedy response!
