I started at my first photo and am working through my entire Library to file each item. I am doing it the way I used to. When I click “add to album” and click on album, at bottom it shows nothing or “added to ?” iOS 18.1.1. If there is a place to learn changes in Photos please direct me to it.

Long press on the photo
select add to album
select the resultant album
When I did just what you said, I tapped "Add to Album" and it looked like nothing changed-- but the picture was now in that album. It might be nice if it said, "OK--done!" or something. But you probably get used to it.
muguy's long press method is faster…
Help iOS 18 it takes me two tries to move a photo or video to an album in Photos.
